Adoption Day 2024: Connecting Foster Children with Long-Awaited Forever Homes
WHO: Santa Clara County Superior Court judges and staff, along with the County’s Department of Family and Children’s Services (DFCS), will be hosting 10 adoptive families who are welcoming 19 children into permanent homes.
WHAT: This event celebrates legal proceedings that will make each adoption official. After a brief welcoming ceremony, the families will go to designated courtrooms for their adoption hearings. The event will culminate in a final celebration in the 8th-floor Judicial Conference Room involving decorations, activities, and the first festivity parents and adoptees will experience as a family.

NOTE: Media Access for Adoption Day 2024 has been granted with a standing order from the Court. Families who wish to be on camera will sign media consent forms and wear name tags with a decorative sticker so the media can identify them. Please do not film individuals who have not provided consent.
