Leah Abraham Sworn In as Commissioner with the Superior Court of California, County of Santa Clara
SAN JOSÉ, CA (May 19, 2025): The Superior Court of California, County of Santa Clara, proudly announces that Leah Abraham was formally sworn in as Court Commissioner during an Oath of Office Ceremony held on Monday, May 19, 2025, at 4:00 p.m. in Department 17.
Commissioner Abraham was joined by family, friends, colleagues, and members of the legal community in a ceremony that highlighted her distinguished legal career and steadfast commitment to public service. Presiding Judge Julie A. Emede administered the oath and offered remarks celebrating Commissioner Abraham’s dedication, integrity, and diverse legal experience.
“Today we celebrate not only Leah Abraham’s appointment but the values of fairness, equity, and service that she represents,” said Presiding Judge Julie A. Emede. “Her deep understanding of the law and dedication to justice will enrich our bench and the broader community.”
Prior to her appointment, Commissioner Abraham served as an Administrative Law Judge for the State Hearings Division of the California Department of Social Services. Her career spans more than a decade and includes roles as a Deputy District Attorney in Alameda County, Deputy District Attorney in San Francisco, and Deputy Public Defender in Alameda County.
The Court warmly welcomes Commissioner Abraham and looks forward to her continued service to the people of Santa Clara County.
