Santa Clara County Superior Court Announces Swearing-In of Jeffrey El-Hajj
SAN JOSÉ, Calif. (July 25, 2025): Hon. Jeffrey El-Hajj was sworn in as a Judge of the Superior Court of California, County of Santa Clara, following his appointment by Governor Gavin Newsom on June 18, 2025.
Judge El-Hajj has served as a Research Attorney for the Sixth Appellate District Court of Appeal since 2013, where he contributed over a decade of legal research and appellate analysis. Prior to that, he served as a Law Clerk at the Supreme Court of the Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands from 2011 to 2013. He began his legal career as an Associate at Angel Law, where he practiced from 2009 to 2011. He earned his Juris Doctor from the University of California College of the Law, San Francisco.

Judge El-Hajj fills the judicial vacancy created by the retirement of Judge Peter H. Kirwan. The Santa Clara County Superior Court congratulates Judge El-Hajj on his appointment and looks forward to the knowledge and perspective he brings to the bench.
