Superior Court of California, County of Santa Clara Swears In Judge Ralph Robles
SAN JOSÉ, CA (January 9, 2026): The Superior Court of California, County of Santa Clara today formally swore in Ralph Robles as a Judge of the Santa Clara County Superior Court during an oath of office ceremony held earlier today.
Judge Robles was appointed by Governor Gavin Newsom on November 24, 2025, and fills the vacancy created by the retirement of Judge Mary E. Arand. He previously served the Court as a Court Commissioner beginning in October 2025.
“Judge Robles has demonstrated sound judgment, integrity, and respect for the role of the judiciary,” said Presiding Judge Julie A. Emede. “His transition from Commissioner to Judge reflects both his dedication to public service and the confidence this Court has in his ability to serve the people of Santa Clara County with fairness and professionalism.”
Prior to joining the bench, Judge Robles was the owner of the Law Office of Ralph Robles from 2013 to 2025, where he built a practice grounded in advocacy, client trust, and a deep understanding of the law.
Judge Robles earned his Juris Doctor degree from Santa Clara University School of Law.
