Court Closure due to Court Wide Training

SAN JOSÉ, California (October 8, 2025): In observance of the annual Court Wide Training and the County of Santa Clara’s recognition of Indigenous Peoples’ Day on October 13, 2025, the Santa Clara County Superior Court will limit its operations and courthouse accessibility. Limited access to Santa Clara County Superior Courthouses on the 13th of October will be as follows:

The following departments will be in operation:

Family Justice Center Courthouse

Dept. 68 - AM only

Hall of Justice

Dept. 23 - PM only

Dept. 24 - AM only

Dept. 31 - All day

Dept. 43 - PM only

Juvenile Justice

Dept. 80 - All day

The following Clerk's Office services will be available:

Downtown Superior Court- the Clerk's Office is only open to accept urgent requests such as temporary emergency guardianships and conservatorships, and violence prevention applications such as for Civil Harassment and Elder Abuse Restraining Orders.

Family Justice Center Courthouse- The Clerk's Office is only open to accept urgent requests such as emergency custody and visitation requests and Domestic Violence and Gun Violence restraining order applications.

For all other filings, access is available through e-Filing and drop boxes at each courthouse.

Access to the Clerk's Offices and public restrooms will be restricted to those with good cause and urgent matters. The Court will continue to process e-filing documents, and individuals not e-filing may utilize the courthouse's drop box.
