Honorable Johnene Stebbins Sworn In as Superior Court Judge

SAN JOSÉ, Calif. (December 23, 2024):  Following her oath of office ceremony today, the Superior Court of California, County of Santa Clara is proud to officially welcome Judge Johnene Stebbins as Superior Court Judge.

Judge Stebbins, a lifelong resident of Santa Clara County, brings over two decades of legal expertise and unwavering dedication to public service. Her distinguished career in criminal prosecution includes handling complex cases involving child molestation, rape, murder, domestic violence, and juvenile crime. Most recently, she served as an Environmental Prosecutor, advocating for the protection of natural resources and workplace safety. Her efforts earned her recognition from the California Hazardous Materials Investigators Association for her commitment to environmental justice.

Beyond the courtroom, Judge Stebbins has demonstrated an enduring commitment to education and community service. She has shared her knowledge with attorneys, law enforcement, and community members on topics ranging from legal ethics to public safety. A passionate volunteer, she has coached youth sports, supported victim advocacy organizations such as the Young Women's Christian Association (YWCA), and mentored young people in the community.

Today’s ceremony marks the beginning of Judge Stebbins’ term, where she will continue her lifelong mission to serve the people of Santa Clara County with fairness, integrity, and compassion.  The Court extends a heartfelt congratulations and invites the community to celebrate her continued dedication to justice and service in Santa Clara County.
