The Santa Clara County Court Celebrates the Debut of Remarkable Artwork by Students Grades K-5

SAN JOSÉ, California (July 12, 2024):  The Superior Court of California, County of Santa Clara, is thrilled to announce the celebration of extraordinary artwork created by talented local students from kindergarten to fifth grade. Submitted for the Court's Art Contest and illustrating the theme "I Love California," these captivating pieces are now proudly displayed in the Hall of Justice Juror Assembly Room.

On Thursday, July 11, 2024, students, parents, educators, community members, and judicial officers came together to celebrate the achievements of 200 budding artists.

"We are immensely grateful to the Court for their enthusiastic support and collaboration on this initiative. A special thank you to the dedicated teachers, parents, and guardians who have nurtured and encouraged the artistic talents of these young students," said Hon. Elizabeth C. Peterson. "We also deeply appreciate our community partners, whose coordination efforts and communication have ensured that this project truly reflects the spirit and diversity of Santa Clara County."

The exhibition serves as a testament to the power of art in civic spaces. The Juror Assembly Room, now showcasing the creativity, imagination, and unique perspectives of the Santa Clara County’s talented young artists, offers a vibrant breath of fresh air.
