Santa Clara County Superior Court Announces Swearing-In of Erik Johnson

SAN JOSÉ, Calif. (June 30, 2025)Hon. Erik Johnson was sworn in as a Judge of the Superior Court, County of Santa Clara, at an Oath of Office ceremony held on June 30, 2025.  Judge Johnson has served as a Commissioner with the Santa Clara County Superior Court since 2020.

Before his appointment as Commissioner, Judge Johnson operated his own practice, the Law Office of Erik Steven Johnson, from 2010 to 2020, where he represented clients in a variety of legal matters, including criminal defense and family law. From 2007 to 2010, he served as an Associate at Hinkle Jachimowicz, Pointer & Emmanuel, gaining valuable experience across diverse areas of law. Judge Johnson earned his Juris Doctor from Santa Clara University School of Law. He now fills the judicial vacancy created by the retirement of Judge Carrie Zepeda-Madrid.
