Superior Court of California, County of Santa Clara Debuts Student Artwork Online and In-Person
SAN JOSÉ, CA (January 12, 2026): The Superior Court of California, County of Santa Clara is proud to announce the debut of student artwork both online and in person at the Downtown Superior Court’s Juror Assembly Room (191 North First Street, San José, CA 95113).
The artwork, created by elementary school students from across Santa Clara County, reflects the theme “What brings you happiness and joy” and is now on public display at the Downtown Superior Court, offering jurors, court users, staff, and visitors a moment of reflection and inspiration within the civic space.
In addition to the in-person exhibition, the artwork is also available for public viewing on the Court’s website, extending access to families, educators, and community members throughout the county. The dual debut underscores the Court’s commitment to community engagement and to uplifting youth voices through accessible, welcoming public spaces.
“This initiative brings the perspectives of young people into the courthouse environment,” said Hon. Elizabeth C. Peterson. “Their artwork reminds us of the human stories and creativity that connect us all and reinforces the Court’s role as a community institution.”
The exhibition builds on the Court’s broader efforts to connect with the community and to create courthouse environments that are inclusive, engaging, and reflective of the people they serve.
