Swearing-In Ceremony Marks Elizabeth Manassau's Appointment as Judge in Santa Clara County Superior Court

SAN JOSÉ, Calif. (May 16, 2024): The Superior Court of California, County of Santa Clara is pleased to announce the swearing-in ceremony of Hon. Elizabeth Manassau as Judge. The ceremony took place on May 16, 2024, marking the official commencement of her duties on the bench.

Judge Manassau, a distinguished resident of Santa Clara County, brings a wealth of legal expertise and experience to her new role. Her background includes serving as an Administrative Law Judge for the California Unemployment Insurance Appeals Board since 2020, and prior to that, she held the position of Attorney-Advisor at the U.S. Social Security Administration from 2017 to 2020. Throughout her career, Manassau has demonstrated a commitment to justice and legal education, serving as an Adjunct Professor at the Santa Clara University School of Law and the University of Phoenix.

Judge Manassau’s appointment fills the vacancy left by the retirement of Judge Shelyna V. Brown, and her commitment to upholding the principles of fairness and equality will serve the community well. Judge Manassau brings a diverse perspective and a steadfast dedication to serving all members of the community.
