When you call the Juvenile Justice Court, listen carefully to the recording. Choose the option for the Clerk's Office.
Since cases with minors are confidential, the Clerk’s Office can’t give you information about a case over the phone. But, they will answer basic questions about what to do over the phone.

Where is the Juvenile Justice Court?
The Santa Clara Juvenile Justice Court is in downtown San Jose. See the Juvenile Justice Courthouse page for the: Use the doors on the Guadalupe Expressway side of the building. The courtrooms are on the 1st floor. The Clerk’s Office is on the 2nd floor.

Is there security?
The Juvenile building is safe. There’s a metal detector at the entrance. It is controlled by Deputy Sheriffs. Don’t bring anything that could be a weapon, drugs or “contraband”, like cigarettes and alcohol. When you get through the metal detector, ask the secretary in the waiting room to let you go to the Court or Clerk's Office on the 2nd floor.
Court and Clerk's Office Hours
Juvenile Justice Court is open from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday. It’s closed on holidays. In general, cases begin at 8:30 a.m. in the morning and 1:30 p.m. in the afternoon. The Clerk’s Office is open from 8:30 a.m. to 4p.m. Monday through Friday. It’s closed on holidays.
