Law Day 2025
SAN JOSÉ, California (January 30, 2025): The Superior Court of California, County of Santa Clara, in collaboration with the Santa Clara County Bar Association, proudly presents the Law Day 2025 Video Contest under the theme "The Constitution's Promise: Out of Many, One." This annual event aims to engage and inspire our community's youth, ages 12 to 20, to participate actively in democracy by exploring and expressing their perspectives on fundamental questions about the democratic process.
“The 2025 Law Day theme, The Constitution’s Promise: Out of Many, One, invites individuals and communities to reflect on our shared responsibilities under the Constitution and the democratic principles that guide our nation,” said Commissioner Johanna Thai Van Dat.
The Constitution enshrines our collective responsibility to one another. The 2025 Law Day theme urges us to take pride in a Constitution that bridges our differences to bring us together as a united nation. Our civic lives tie us together as one “We,” whether through legislative efforts that serve the common good, through military service, or through working together every day to fulfill the promise of E pluribus unum, or “Out of many, one.”
Join us in this important observance as we uphold the values enshrined in our Constitution and work together for a brighter, more united future. Entries should be submitted via email to events@scscourt.org, accompanied by the student’s name, grade level, and school. Additionally, participants are encouraged to share their videos on social media platforms using the hashtag #SCLawDay2025.
Submissions are due by Monday, March 31, 2025.
All contest entrants will receive a certificate of participation, and the top three winners will be awarded prizes. The winning entries will be featured on the Court's public website and social media channels, showcasing the talent and creativity of Santa Clara County's youth.
